Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until combined.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are firm.
  8. Let cookies cool completely.
  9. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar and maple syrup together.
