Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add olive oil, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes on a floured surface.
- Incorporate the chopped onion and cheese into the dough.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased pan. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before slicing and serve.
Notes
- Store leftover bread in an airtight container.
- Can substitute cheese with your favorite variety.
- For extra flavor, add herbs like rosemary or thyme.
