Description

Tender slow cooker brisket served with a rich balsamic onion gravy.


Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the sliced onions in the slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, beef broth, brown sugar, garlic, and thyme.
  4. Pour the mixture over the brisket in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until tender.
  6. Remove the brisket and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve with the balsamic onion gravy poured over the top.
