  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Beef broth: 500 ml (2 cups)
  • Worcestershire sauce: 60 ml (1/4 cup)
  • Brown sugar: 50 g (1/4 cup)
  • Smoked paprika: 2 teaspoons
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper: 1 teaspoon
  • Optional Ingredients: Carrots, Celery, Bay leaves, Red wine, Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brisket by trimming excess fat and patting it dry.
  2. Season the brisket generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Optional: Sear the brisket in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Layer sautéed onions and garlic in the slow cooker, then place the brisket on top.
  5. Pour the broth mixture over the brisket.
  6. Cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  7. Let the brisket rest for 15 minutes after cooking.
  8. Slice against the grain and serve with juices from the slow cooker.
