Ingredients

- 200g all-purpose flour
- 150g sugar
- 100g butter
- 3 eggs
- 200g mixed dried fruits
- 100g marzipan
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and spices.
- Combine the flour and baking powder; gradually add to the mixture.
- Fold in the dried fruits.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Let it cool and cover with marzipan.
Notes
- Store in a cool place for better flavor.
- Can be decorated with icing if desired.
- Make a day ahead for best results.
