Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 200g mixed dried fruits
  • 100g marzipan
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and spices.
  5. Combine the flour and baking powder; gradually add to the mixture.
  6. Fold in the dried fruits.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool and cover with marzipan.
