Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, brown the beef on all sides.
  3. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
  4. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Cover and simmer for 3 hours until the beef is tender.
  6. Prepare mashed potatoes by boiling potatoes until soft.
  7. Drain and mash potatoes with milk and butter.
  8. Serve the beef with gravy over the fluffy mashed potatoes.
