Description

Savory beef and cheese chimichanga filled with seasoned beef and melted cheese, rolled and fried to a golden crisp.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat and place a portion of the beef mixture and cheese in the center.
  4. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll tightly.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the rolled chimichangas until golden brown on all sides.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
