Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring continuously until it boils.
- Pour the butter mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Break into pieces and serve.
