Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it simmers.
- In another saucepan, combine the sugar and butter and cook until golden brown.
- Add the heavy cream to the sugar mixture and stir until smooth.
- Remove from heat and mix in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract until melted.
- Cool the mixture to room temperature, then refrigerate until firm.
- Once firm, scoop out portions and roll into balls.
- Roll the truffles in sea salt.
- Chill again before serving.
