Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 oval patties.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Pour in beef broth and stir until the sauce thickens.
  8. Return patties to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes in the sauce.
  9. Serve hot with gravy over the patties.
