Description
Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy is a classic comfort food dish made with seasoned ground beef patties served in a rich mushroom sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 oval patties.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return patties to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes in the sauce.
- Serve hot with gravy over the patties.

- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
