Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 6 to 8 tablespoons ice water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add chilled butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
- Divide dough in half, shape into discs, and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before rolling out.
Notes
- Use cold ingredients for a flakier crust.
- Do not overwork the dough.
