Ingredients

- 1 kg herring fillets
- 500 g potatoes
- 300 g carrots
- 200 g peas
- 5 eggs
- 200 g mayonnaise
- 1 onion
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes, carrots, and eggs until cooked.
- Finely chop the herring fillets and onion.
- Dice the boiled potatoes and carrots.
- In a large bowl, mix the herring, potatoes, carrots, peas, and onion.
- Add mayonnaise, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Layer the mixture in a serving dish.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh herring for best flavor.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like beets or bell peppers.
- Adjust mayonnaise according to your preference.
