Description

Rotel dip is a creamy, spicy cheese dip made with tomatoes and green chilies.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of Rotel tomatoes (10 oz)
  • 1 lb of Velveeta cheese
  • 1 lb of ground beef (optional)
  • 1 tsp of chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp of onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Drain excess fat from the beef.
  3. Add Rotel tomatoes to the skillet.
  4. Cube Velveeta cheese and add to the skillet.
  5. Add chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  6. Stir until the cheese melts and everything is combined.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • Can substitute ground beef with sausage or keep it vegetarian.
  • Adjust spice level by using mild or hot Rotel.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
