A simple roasted tomato pasta sauce recipe that is full of flavor.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs ripe tomatoes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the tomatoes in half and place them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the tomatoes.
- Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Roast in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Blend the roasted tomatoes until smooth.
- Stir in fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Serve with your favorite pasta.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- This sauce can be frozen for later use.
