Ingredients
- Brussels sprouts: 500 grams (about 1 pound), trimmed and halved
- Maple syrup: 60 ml (1/4 cup)
- Olive oil: 30 ml (2 tablespoons)
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
- Balsamic vinegar: 15 ml (1 tablespoon)
- Pecans: 100 grams (about 1 cup), chopped
Instructions
- Wash the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim the ends, and cut them in half.
- In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to make the glaze.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the halved Brussels sprouts and pour the maple glaze over them, tossing to coat.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and spread the coated Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender and caramelized.
- In the last 5 minutes of roasting, sprinkle chopped pecans over the sprouts to toast them.
- Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, toss gently, and serve warm.
