Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine sugar, buttermilk, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  6. Roll tightly and slice into rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar for frosting.
  10. Spread frosting on warm rolls before serving.
