Red velvet brownies with Oreo filling
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 package Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, stirring until combined.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
- Add red food coloring and mix well.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- Place Oreo cookies on top of the batter.
- Spread the remaining batter over the Oreos.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Use cream cheese frosting for extra flavor.
- Adjust the food coloring for desired red hue.
