Instructions

- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla and buttermilk.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Mix red food coloring into one bowl.
- Layer red and chocolate batters into cupcake liners, swirling slightly.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.
