Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, food coloring, and vanilla.
  4. Mix wet and dry ingredients together until smooth.
  5. Roll dough out and spread softened butter on top.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the butter.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until done.
  10. For frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  11. Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve.
