Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the red velvet cake mix, vegetable oil, and 2 eggs.
  3. Spread half of the batter into a greased baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the red velvet batter.
  6. Dollop the remaining red velvet batter on top and swirl with a knife.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into bars.
