A delicious red velvet cake roll filled with cream cheese frosting.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 15×10 inch jelly roll pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add oil, vanilla, and food coloring to the egg mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is hot, roll it with the parchment paper and let it cool.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Unroll the cooled cake, spread the frosting, and roll it up again.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Ensure the cake is completely cooled before frosting.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving for a nice touch.
