Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour batter into greased cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely.
- Crumble the cakes into pieces.
- Layer cake crumbles and cream cheese frosting in jars.
- Repeat layers until jars are full.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
