Ingredients
- Spaghetti: 250 grams (about 8 ounces)
- Shrimp: 400 grams (peeled and deveined)
- Garlic: 4 cloves (minced)
- Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons (freshly squeezed)
- Olive oil: 3 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley: 1/4 cup (chopped)
- Red pepper flakes: 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
- Salt: to taste
- Black pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients: peel and devein shrimp, mince garlic, and chop parsley.
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Combine drained spaghetti with shrimp in the skillet, add lemon juice, and toss. Use reserved pasta water if needed to create a sauce.
- Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley, adjust seasoning, and serve garnished with extra parsley and red pepper flakes.
