  • Spaghetti: 250 grams (about 8 ounces)
  • Shrimp: 400 grams (peeled and deveined)
  • Garlic: 4 cloves (minced)
  • Lemon juice: 2 tablespoons (freshly squeezed)
  • Olive oil: 3 tablespoons
  • Fresh parsley: 1/4 cup (chopped)
  • Red pepper flakes: 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Black pepper: to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: peel and devein shrimp, mince garlic, and chop parsley.
  2. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  5. Combine drained spaghetti with shrimp in the skillet, add lemon juice, and toss. Use reserved pasta water if needed to create a sauce.
