Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Rub the prime rib with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast for 20 minutes to sear the outside.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
