Ingredients

- 1 prime rib roast (5–7 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Rub the roast with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast for 20 minutes at 450°F, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C).
- Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
- Let the roast come to room temperature before roasting.
- Adjust cooking times based on the size of the roast.
