- 1 prime rib roast (5–7 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Rub the roast with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Place the roast bone-side down in a roasting pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue to roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
- Let the roast rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
