Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or Gruyère)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Add half of the cheese on top.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  8. Bake for 45-60 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
