Description
Potato pierogi are dumplings filled with mashed potatoes and served with toppings.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup cheese, shredded
- 1 onion, sautéed
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Add egg, sour cream, and butter. Knead until smooth.
- Roll dough and cut into circles.
- Combine potatoes and cheese in a bowl.
- Place filling on each circle and fold.
- Boil pierogi until they float.
- Serve with sautéed onions on top.
Notes
- Use leftover mashed potatoes for filling.
- Freeze uncooked pierogi for later use.
- Top with sour cream for extra flavor.
