Description

A traditional Portuguese stuffing recipe perfect for Thanksgiving.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups stale bread, cubed
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chorizo, diced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and celery. Sauté until soft.
  4. Add chorizo and cook until browned.
  5. In a large bowl, combine bread, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Pour the sautéed mixture over the bread.
  7. Add chicken broth and mix well.
  8. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Use any type of bread for a different texture.
