A delicious fusion of pistachios and classic brownies with a kunafa twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups kunafa pastry, shredded
  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  6. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the kunafa pastry.
  7. Spread the brownie batter over the kunafa.
  8. Sprinkle chopped pistachios on top.
  9. Layer the remaining kunafa on top of the pistachios.
  10. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  12. Let cool before slicing and serving.
