Description

- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in brown sugar until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the bottom of a bundt pan and sprinkle with pecans.
- In a bowl, beat granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
- Pour the batter into the bundt pan over the pecans.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
- Can be made a day in advance.
