- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and granulated sugar until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla.
- Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Can be served warm or cold.
- Substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
