A creamy and delicious broccoli mushroom bake inspired by Paula Deen.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Steam the broccoli until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, sauté mushrooms and onion in butter until soft.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add steamed broccoli and sautéed mushrooms to the mixture and stir well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  7. Top with breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add garlic powder or your favorite herbs.
  • You can substitute the cheddar cheese with your preferred cheese.
