- 1 loaf of brioche bread, sliced
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar for topping
Instructions
- Grease a baking dish.
- Layer the brioche slices in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the bread slices.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle sugar on top and caramelize with a kitchen torch or under the broiler.
