Description

Delicious overnight creme brulee French toast bake that is easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Place the cubed French bread in the dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and make sure all pieces are soaked.
  5. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake the dish uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden.
  8. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top and caramelize with a kitchen torch or broiler.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
