Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat milk and butter until warm, then add to dry ingredients.
  3. Add eggs and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface.
  7. Spread butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar on dough.
  8. Add raisins if desired, then roll tightly.
  9. Cut into 12 rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
  10. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  11. In the morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Mix powdered sugar and milk to create icing and drizzle over warm rolls.
