Description

A simple and flavorful one pot chicken piccata dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup capers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the chicken until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
  7. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the pan.
  8. Add capers and return the chicken to the skillet.
  9. Simmer for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  10. Garnish with parsley before serving.

  • Serve with pasta or rice.
  • Adjust lemon juice according to taste.
