Description

A classic recipe for making meals in a crock pot with traditional methods.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 potatoes, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables and place them in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef on all sides.
  4. Add the browned beef to the crock pot on top of the vegetables.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and add Worcestershire sauce and thyme.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Check for tenderness and serve hot.
