Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 cup dried fruits

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Once boiling, stop stirring and let it cook to the hard ball stage (about 250°F).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, nuts, and dried fruits.
  5. Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares.
  7. Let it cool completely before serving.
