- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the pie crust in a pie dish and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg yolks.
- Slowly add the milk mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Slice bananas and layer them in the baked pie crust.
- Pour the filling over the bananas and let it cool.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.
