Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef tenderloin
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rub the beef tenderloin with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides.
  4. Transfer the beef to the oven and roast for 25-30 minutes for medium-rare.
  5. In the same skillet, add red wine and beef broth. Simmer until reduced.
  6. Add butter to the sauce and stir until melted.
  7. Slice the beef and serve with the sauce.

Notes

  • Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.
