Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then roast for 1.5 hours.
- While the chicken cooks, prepare mashed potatoes by boiling potatoes and mashing them with butter and milk.
- Steam the mixed vegetables until tender.
- Heat the gravy in a saucepan.
- Once the chicken is done, let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
- Serve the chicken with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and gravy.
- Finish the meal with a slice of apple pie and sparkling cider.
