Description

A classic dessert bar with layers of chocolate, custard, and coconut.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup custard powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, and cocoa powder.
  2. Add graham cracker crumbs and coconut. Stir well.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased pan.
  4. In another bowl, combine powdered sugar, custard powder, and milk to make the custard layer.
  5. Spread the custard over the chocolate layer in the pan.
  6. Melt chocolate and butter together. Pour over the custard layer.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.

  • Store in the refrigerator.
  • Use a sharp knife for clean cuts.
  • Let bars sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting.
