A hearty and comforting shepherd’s pie made with ground meat and topped with creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 cups frozen peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add ground meat, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in carrots, peas, tomato paste, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, then transfer to a baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the meat mixture, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- You can use leftover mashed potatoes.
- Substitute vegetables based on your preference.
- Let it cool before storing in the fridge.
