Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 cup diced carrots
- 1 cup diced peas
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned.
- Stir in carrots, peas, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add beef broth, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the meat mixture.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use any ground meat of your choice.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or green beans.
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of red wine to the meat mixture.
