Ingredients

- 1 bottle red wine (750ml)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup honey or sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 2 star anise
Instructions
- Pour the red wine into a large pot.
- Add the sliced orange and lemon.
- Stir in the brandy and honey or sugar.
- Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
- Heat over low heat for about 20 minutes, do not boil.
- Strain the mixture into mugs or heatproof glasses.
- Garnish with additional orange slices if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Can substitute with white wine for a different flavor.
