Mozzarella stuffed soft pretzels are a delicious twist on a classic snack. They are soft, cheesy, and perfect for dipping.
Ingredients

- 2 cups warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the mixture. Knead until smooth.
- Cover and let it rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide dough into pieces and roll into ropes.
- Wrap each piece around a mozzarella stick.
- Boil water and baking soda in a pot.
- Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds, then remove.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
