Description

Mozzarella stuffed rosemary parmesan soft pretzels are a delicious twist on classic pretzels. They combine the flavors of rosemary and parmesan with gooey mozzarella inside.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  5. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece and place mozzarella in the center. Fold dough over the cheese and shape into a pretzel.
  6. In a pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Brush each pretzel with beaten egg and sprinkle with rosemary and parmesan.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
