Description
A classic dessert made with rice, milk, and sugar, reminiscent of mom’s kitchen.
Ingredients

- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- In a pot, bring milk to a boil.
- Add rice, sugar, and salt to the pot.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs and stir in vanilla and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the rice mixture to the egg mixture.
- Return to the pot and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add raisins if desired and stir well.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For creamier pudding, use whole milk.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave.
