Description

A delicious filling made with minced beef and cheese, perfect for stuffing into Pão de queijo, a Brazilian cheese bread.


Ingredients

  • Pão de queijo dough: 500 grams
  • Minced beef: 300 grams
  • Cheese: 150 grams, preferably mozzarella or cheddar, grated
  • Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon, to taste
  • Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon, to taste
  • Olive oil: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add minced beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Stir in chopped parsley and let cool.
  3. Mix grated cheese into the cooled beef mixture until well combined.
  4. Take a small amount of dough, flatten it, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and fold the dough around it to form a ball.
  5. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F), place the balls on a baking sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
