Description
A delicious filling made with minced beef and cheese, perfect for stuffing into Pão de queijo, a Brazilian cheese bread.
Ingredients
- Pão de queijo dough: 500 grams
- Minced beef: 300 grams
- Cheese: 150 grams, preferably mozzarella or cheddar, grated
- Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt: 1 teaspoon, to taste
- Pepper: 1/2 teaspoon, to taste
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add minced beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Stir in chopped parsley and let cool.
- Mix grated cheese into the cooled beef mixture until well combined.
- Take a small amount of dough, flatten it, place a spoonful of filling in the center, and fold the dough around it to form a ball.
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F), place the balls on a baking sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
